Let's update on the last CDP lesson I had. It was about Joel Sonnenberg; a strong kid that gone through soooo much. I was really touched and inspired. And for the freaking first time, my class was quiet during a CDP lesson. Hah. It was really something for us. I can't really believe that I felt like crying while watching that 20 minutes worth of video. It was really something I can't describe. Let me share his story that I learned.
He was burnt during an accident when he was 2 years old. A truck hit his family's car and left him in his baby seat in the flaming car alone while his parent were out of the mess. Soon after that, a man came to rescue when he heard a lady [apparently, is his mother] shouted for help. Joel was finally out from the tragic accident but had 88% of his skin burnt. The docs had no way but to use tissues as skin to cover his whole body. It was describe that the docs could hardly see his eyes on his burnt face. And after that long fight for life, Joel survived. 17years after, he finally met again with the truck driver that hit him. He said, in summary, he did not hate the driver for the accident and it was all god's will to give him a life like that. He feel very good of himself the way he is now.Isn't it inspiring? You should watch the video. I couldn't find the 20minutes video. It's really hard to tell it in words. All I know is, he is a great man. ♥
